header monthly

Today’s post is a little different as I will be showcasing some of my favourite projects from my fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. I have chosen some of my favourites from their blogs and hope you will join me monthly to see projects. I am also hoping to CASE some of these projects putting my own spin on them later in the week.

Today’s first project is from my upline Karen Varley at Donemark Papercrafts I love the colour combination on this card Stampin’ Up! do some absolutely gorgeous DSP in the new catalogue.

The next project I picked is from Leah Mo  from Pickle Crafts

I like the simplicity of this card as I sometimes find mens cards more difficult to make I also love the use of DSP as i’m a massive fan of loveitchopit and have all my paper stored in cases pre cut.

Find instructions for Leah’s project here

My next project is from Janice Thomson

I love the embossing on this card and think it really makes the purple pop

Today’s final project is from Jannie Van Beelan from Knutselfrutselen   I love the idea of simple cards and sometimes think less is definitely more. I’ve definitely gone for a dsp theme this month.

Paper hoarders anonymous

So today I am admitting my problem…I hoard paper, I see gorgeous dsp packs and think I have to have them but then thy sit in my craft room unused (because who cuts something that pretty) Until now. You might have seen my recent posts about #loveitchopit well todays post follows on from that theme.

I chose to use a retired paper picture perfect party (but honestly any paper would do) and some retired card stock I had that matched (peekaboo peach)

I cut the a4 card stock in half (14.9cm) and then scored (at 10.5cm) to make a card base to make the paper pop I added a layer of black card stock (14.4cm x10cm) then a layer of dsp (13.9cm x 9.5cm) I then added a simple sentiment which could be done using a punch (like the triple banner or one of stampin’ up’s! label punches) or by hand. I thought these cards were really effective and super simple.

If you check back in the next few days there will also be  notecard holder which can be made to coordinate and  works perfectly to give as a gift. Hope to see you then.20190518_175049

It’s a beautiful day

Good morning hopefully today is a beautiful day where you are, as currently while i’m writing its a horrible rainy grey day. This card is definitely pretty enough to cheer me up, I overlooked this set completely in last years catalogue but it really jumped out when I saw the samples in the new 2019-20 Stampin up Catalogue. Hopefully you like it as much as I do.20190518_174905

Natures Poem DSP Scrap Card

20190518_174853I’m sure you are all like me and constantly have scraps of designer series paper that you hold on to without knowing what to do with it… well this card might be the solution. I had loads of slithers of paper left from my #loveitchopit so decided to put them to good use, the possibilities with this card are endless you could just go with simple stripes or create a more complicated design, but best of all there is no waste whatsoever. Definitely my kind of crafting would you agree?
